Braintree, Ma (December 11, 2014) – The sixth and final round of F1 Boston’s Fall Frenzy League took place last Monday capping off a great season with the crowning of series Champions. Each of the League’s six rounds starts with a qualifying session, followed by two 30-lap heats and a 40-lap final. Here are the highlights:
Ron LeDuc claimed his third victory of the season by winning the first and final heats, second in heat #2 to score 40 – with 209 points, he also scores the heavyweight title. Shaun Abbate was second with 34 points by winning the middle heat, grabbing second in the final and fifth in heat #1 plus two fast lap bonus points. Abbate also is second for the season with 190 points. Micheal Glover took third with 31 points on a second place result in heat #1, third in the final and fourth in heat #2. Alan Morrison was next with 22 points earned by finishing fourth in heat #1 and the final plus fifth in heat #2 – he lands fifth for the season with 101 points. Harry Parker was fifth with 21 points highlighted by taking third in heat #2 and fifth in the final. With 123 points, Parker ends the season in the fourth spot. Antonio Brito Jr. was third for the season with 142 points.
Peter Sigourney earned top honors in middleweight, scoring 39 points by winning the final after taking second in both heats – he earns a second-place tie with David Burton at 190. Chris Catalano took second with 36 points including a win in heat #1, second in the final and fourth in heat #2 plus two fast laps. Catalano earns the season title with 200 points. Mark Morin was third after winning the middle heat and placing third in the others to earn 34 points – with 158 he grabs fourth for the season. Burton was next with 26 points by finishing third in heat #2 and fourth in the others. Jaramillo Ricardo scored 17 points and fifth place with fifth place results in the first two heats. Phillip Lloyd (15 points) rounded out the top five for the season with 92 points.
In Lightweight, Rodrico Dias took top honors with 42 points earned by winning the first and final heats, grabbing second in heat #2 plus two fast laps – he also takes the season crown with 205 points. Jamie Dutra landed second with 39 points by winning the middle heat, bookended with second place results in the others. He finishes the series with 184 points to earn third place. Jay Hansom was third with 30 points after placing third on all the heats – at 194 he’s second for the season. Donald Zowatsky was next with 21 points highlighted by fourth place finishes in the first and final heats. With 120 Zowatshy also takes fourth in the final standings. William Ryan was fifth with 17 points after placing fifth in heats #1 and #2. Patrick Curtin (9 points) was fifth for the season with 109 points.
